Founder & Managing Director
Dean Yates
Dean founded MDN in 2005. He leads the management and development of the business, playing a pivotal role in executing our strategy across the business to ensure our vision, mission, and values are upheld. Additionally, he focuses on driving sustainable growth and team expansion, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
​
Dean has over three decades of experience in the electrical sector, acquiring extensive commercial and practical knowledge which he combines with a strong attention to detail in his work.
​
Away from work, Dean enjoys spending quality time with his family, supporting Manchester United, cooking, staying active with his dogs, and playing golf when time allows.
Design Manager
George Mills
George joined MDN UK in 2016 as an electrician and has advanced to the position of Design Manager on MDN’s leadership team, where he leads the design and development of new projects. As a qualified LCSI, George provides in-house expertise in commissioning Lutron lighting control systems, strengthening the company’s technical capabilities and service delivery.
​
With over 12 years of experience in the electrical sector, George has developed a strong technical mindset and an in-depth understanding of complex building systems.
​
Outside of work, George enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, and following the Formula 1.
Ollie joined MDN in 2012 as an electrician and has since progressed to the role of Operations Manager on MDN’s leadership team. He is responsible for overseeing all project operations, both in the office and on-site, and efficiently coordinating resources to ensure projects are executed to the highest standards of quality.

Ollie has 12 years of experience in the electrical sector, successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
​
Outside of work, Ollie enjoys playing golf, socialising with friends and spending quality time with family.
Operations Manager
Oliver Frost
Estimator
Jimmy Newell
Jimmy joined MDN in May 2025 as an Estimator, eager to embrace a new challenge with a skilled and motivated team. In his role, he is responsible for preparing competitive tenders and ensuring that all submissions are accurate, compliant, and aligned with client requirements and project specifications.
With 12 years of experience as a Gold Card electrician and a further six years in project management and estimating, Jimmy brings a wealth of practical knowledge and commercial insight to every project.
Outside of work, Jimmy enjoy staying active at the gym, cycling, and making lasting memories on holidays with friends and family.
Business Manager
Poppy Yates
Poppy joined MDN in 2022 as the company’s Office Administrator and has since advanced to the role of Business Manager on MDN’s leadership team, alongside Ollie and George. In this position, Poppy is responsible for managing MDN’s commercial operations, including finance, marketing, and compliance. In addition to her role, Poppy is also pursuing a Level 6 Apprenticeship degree in Business Management and Practice.

Poppy has over three years of administrative experience and is continually expanding her skills to support business growth and development.
​
Outside of work, Poppy enjoys shopping, traveling abroad and spending time with family and friends.
Business Administrator
Poppy joined MDN UK in 2022 as an Office Administrator and has since advanced into the role of Business Administrator, where she takes on a range of commercial responsibilities, supporting key business functions. In addition to her role, Poppy is currently pursuing a Level 6 Apprenticeship degree in Business Management and Practice.

Poppy has over two years of experience in office administration, with a strong focus on attention to detail and maintaining a high standard of work quality.

Outside of work, Poppy enjoys traveling to new destinations and spending quality time with family and friends.
